Join our team and be part of a dynamic and supportive environment where your contributions are valued.Reporting to the Head of Retail Transport South, you will assist in the efficient coordination of product transportation, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements. This role involves supporting the Transport Manager and named CPC holders in various transport-related tasks.Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure drivers comply with regulations, including Drivers Hours, WTD, tachograph rules, and speed limits
  • Maintain vehicles properly, inspect them timely, and address any defects
  • Compile accurate O license records and take action in case of failures
  • Report and record vehicle defects by drivers
  • Ensure vehicles are not overloaded and are kept at authorized operating centers when not in use
  • Measure compliance, vehicle performance, and utilisation
  • Investigate vehicle accidents, incidents, delays, and issues, escalating findings as necessary
  • Manage drivers' work agreements, hours usage, and payments
  • Contribute to the strategy for vehicle replacements, including planning and specifications
  • Assist with transport budget preparation
  • Implement policies and procedures related to ADR
We are looking for individuals with skills in the following areas:
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety in relation to transportation
  • Knowledge of current legislation and compliance in relation to transportation
  • Demonstrable experience within similar
  • Able to prepare reports and analyse statistical information
  • Problem solving skills
  • Communication skills
  • Attention to detail
While not essential, the following qualifications would support the successful candidate in this role:
  • HGV Class 1 Licence
  • Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • A valid digital tachograph card
