£40,000 - £50,000We're working with a well-established Exeter-based consultancy who are looking to strengthen its Transport Planning team with the addition of a Senior Transport Planner.You'll be joining at a busy time, with a strong pipeline of development planning and infrastructure projects continuing well into 2026.The role
  • Take ownership of projects from day one on a wide variety of transport planning and multi-disciplinary schemes
  • Manage client relationships and represent the consultancy in public consultations and negotiations with local highway authorities
  • Prepare and oversee technical work, including feasibility studies, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and S106 negotiations
  • Mentor junior colleagues and play a key role in supporting the long-term growth of the team
What we're looking for
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related subject (MSc Transport Planning desirable)
  • Around 5-10 years' relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of highway design guidance (MfS, DMRB etc) and the planning system (NPPF)
  • Experience using key software such as ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, GIS and Excel
