Your core responsibilities will include:
  • Individualized Planning: Creating, implementing, and regularly reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that are tailored to the specific learning styles and needs of each student.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Designing and delivering creative and engaging lessons that accommodate a diverse range of abilities and learning challenges.
  • Progress Monitoring: Conducting ongoing assessments to track student development, identify areas for improvement, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborative Approach: Working closely with parents, support staff, and other specialists to ensure a cohesive and supportive network for each child.
  • Classroom Management: Fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel respected and empowered to learn.
What We're Looking ForWe're searching for a skilled and empathetic professional who is committed to a career in special education. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong background in Special Educational Needs.
  • Demonstrated Experience: Proven experience in teaching students with a variety of needs, such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dyslexia, ADHD, or emotional and behavioral difficulties.
  • Expert Knowledge: A solid understanding of SEN policies, assessment methods, and effective teaching strategies.
  • Exceptional Communication: The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
  • Patience and Resilience: A calm and positive attitude, with the ability to adapt to challenges and celebrate small victories.
