Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in St Albans, starting in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN) in a vibrant and inclusive school environment.Responsibilities:Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, both in and out of the classroom
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans
Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes pupil progress and well-being
Assist with personal care and mobility, where necessary
Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parentsPrevious experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable
A calm, patient and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A good standard of literacy and numeracy
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are advantageous
