Position Title: People Operations ManagerDepartment: PeopleLocation: Farringdon / Park RoyalSalary: A competitive salary is available plus great company benefitsAbout the role:We're now looking for a brilliant People Operations Manager to lead the engine room of our People team ensuring the systems, processes and touchpoints that shape life at Little Moons are thoughtful and run smoothly.This is a hands-on, high-impact role that spans our entire business, supporting both our Movers & Makers and Supporters teams. You'll lead and develop a small team (including a Payroll & Data Advisor and People Coordinators), and take ownership of delivering a seamless, efficient and people-first experience across the employee lifecycle.From onboarding and payroll to systems upgrades and compliance, you'll bring structure, clarity and a continuous improvement mindset to everything you do. You'll be the person who spots opportunities to make things better and makes them happen. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on detail, loves building smart processes, and takes pride in making things work brilliantly for others.What you will do:People Operations LeadershipManage and develop a small team, giving them clarity, stretch, and day-to-day supportDrive our People OKRs, to accelerate delivery, track progress and support high performance and engagement.Balance operational delivery with long-term team growthPeople Operations & SystemsOwn and improve core people processes across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboardingLead day-to-day use of PeopleHR, BeApplied, Lattice, and Papaya, ensuring clean data, smart workflows and time-saving systemsTrack and report on people data, providing clarity and insight for the businessEnsure processes are practical, inclusive and meet the needs of both Movers & Makers and SupportersEfficiency & Continuous ImprovementSpot inefficiencies, duplication or friction and lead practical improvements, including integrating AI and automationPartner with managers to make people processes simple and effectiveBring structure and follow-through to new initiativesEmployee Experience & CultureImplement and deliver our people experiences, ensuring every touchpoint reflects our tone and valuesKeep policies up to date, inclusive and relevantSupport managers on ER cases, ensuring fairness and a human touchPayroll, Benefits & ComplianceOversee the weekly and monthly payroll process, ensuring 100% accuracyOversee our benefits offering, making sure it's relevant, well-run and clearly communicatedEnsure compliance across the board, from right to work checks to GDPRAbout YouYou have proven experience as a People Operations Manager, ideally in a manufacturing or retail environmentYou bring a love for detail, accuracy and following through on what you startYou're energised by structure, systems and checklists, with a passion for making things work betterYou've led or coached small teams and enjoy helping others thriveYou're confident using people systems (e.g. PeopleHR, Lattice, BeApplied) and love a spreadsheetYou stay calm under pressure and bring clarity and accountability to your workYou have strong knowledge of payroll, employment law and complianceYou're service-driven - making life easier for others is what motivates youYou're curious about new tools (especially AI) and open to experimenting with ways to improve how things get doneYour BenefitsLittle Moons is a fast-growing and dynamic business, the nature of which means roles and responsibilities can change and grow quickly.
