- English & Maths GCSE grades 5-9 (A*-C) or equivalent
- Level 3 AET teaching qualification or equivalent (must be recognised in UK)
- Ability & Willingness to gain relevant qualification, must have relevant experience to qualify
- Ability to participate in the escorting of patients in accordance with policies and procedures
- Experience of delivering a pre-planned lesson
- Experience of working within a Forensic setting
- Knowledge of Adult Core Curriculum
- knowledge of effective learning strategies for specific learning needs
- Knowledge of electronic record keeping.
- IT skills for record keeping, making notes and creating resources.
- Excellent IT Skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft packages including PowerPoint, Publisher and Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to facilitate a pre-planned lesson

- Courses relevant to librarian and educational roles.
- To undertake Essential Training and update as required by Trust Policies.
- Complete Personal Appraisal annually.
- Undertake Managerial and Clinical supervision.
