Own transport essential due to rural locationAbout our SEMH School in Worksop:Our school is located in a rural setting on the outskirts of Worksop, providing a safe, stimulating learning environment with specialist facilities and access to local resources. We maintain a high staff-to-pupil ratio, with many pupils receiving 1:1 support or learning in small groups to build social skills and independence.This is an excellent opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant looking to develop their career while making a difference in the Worksop community.   • Mentor, support, and inspire learners by assisting with curriculum-based activities both in the classroom, during home tuition, outreach programmes, and outdoor activities
  • Help prepare learning materials and contribute to achieving learning objectives, with a strong emphasis on behaviour management
  • Provide daily reports on learners' progress and identify barriers to learning
  • Engage regularly with parents and carers to support learner development
Learning Support Assistant Requirements:
  • Possesses a passionate and committed approach to working with students with SEMH needs
  • Has at least two years' experience working in a SEND/SEMH environment or similar setting
  • Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (highly advantageous)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential, due to travel between school sites and outreach work)
