Pay: £90 – £110 per day (Depending on experience)

This opportunity is ideal for those who are enthusiastic about making a real difference in students’ academic and personal development.About the School: This is a welcoming and well-resourced specialist setting for secondary-aged pupils who follow a primary-style curriculum. The school supports students with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges, and learning difficulties. Class sizes are small, typically around 12 to 13 pupils, allowing for more tailored and supportive teaching.
It’s a bit like teaching primary children in secondary-sized bodies—full of energy, personality and potential.Key Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA):
  • Offer 1:1 and small group support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Support the teaching team by reinforcing lesson content and adapting materials where needed.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and share insights with teachers and SEN staff.
  • Promote students’ confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
  • Assist with the implementation of individual support strategies and classroom routines.
Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Skills & Requirements:
  • Experience supporting young people in an educational or care setting is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting the needs of all students.
  • Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
