
SEN Teaching & Learning Assistant

- Provide academic and pastoral support on a 1-2-1 basis with a Year 9 male student.
- Work in a well-resourced mainstream secondary school with a strong, supportive inclusion team
- Collaborative role working closely with the SENCo, classroom teachers, and wider support staff

- Full-time role, Monday to Friday. Paid up to £110 per day, term-time only
- September start with potential for a long-term placement
- Run 1-2-1 interventions around emotional regulation and well-being.
- Work under the guidance of the SENCo to deliver tailored support strategies
- Mainly provide 1:1 support but also small group assistance to students with a variety of special educational needs across Year 9.
- Support students to remain engaged and focused on lessons, adapting resources where needed
- Assist with differentiation, coursework, and organisation to help students access the full curriculum
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment through strong behaviour management skills
- Liaise regularly with teaching staff and the SEN team to monitor progress and adjust support strategies accordingly
- An active person with lots of energy.
- A minimum Level 3 qualification (essential).
- Experience working in a secondary school or supporting students with SEN.
- A patient, adaptable, and supportive approach to working with students.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents.
- Ability to inspire and encourage students, creating a positive learning environment.
