
Highways Operative

- Carrying out pre-start checks on each machine you are operating (including hired-in plant)
- Working to your gangs targets and minimising costs to maximise profitability and offer any alternative methods of working
- Ensuring all plant is safely and securely stored in the designated areas at the end of your shift
- Being proactive and updating your personal training plan with your line manager at your regular review sessions
- Achievement of Company and Contractual KPI's and year-on-year improvement of Contract/Scheme KPI's
- Have a keen eye for detail and reporting Safety Observations on our Tarmac reporting system
- H & S - Zero accidents and environmental incidents
- Ensuring all Health and Safety standards are being adhered too across all works alongside collaborating, promoting and developing Health, Safety and wellbeing innovations
It is preferred that the successful candidate for the role of Highways Operative will have the following:ESSENTIAL
- NRSWA card
- Experience in construction and highways maintenance works
- A valid UK full manual car driving licence - no more than 6 points
