
SEMH Teaching Assistant

- Provide tailored support to students aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
- Work alongside the SENCO, pastoral staff, and external agencies to create a positive and structured learning environment.
- Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions focused on emotional regulation, resilience, and self-esteem.
- Help students re-engage with education and act as a positive role model every day.
- A recent graduate in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field (2:1 or above preferred).
- Someone passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.
- Calm, empathetic, and capable of building trusting, respectful relationships.
- Able to commute to Kempston, Bedford.
- Any previous experience working with young people or vulnerable groups (voluntary or paid) is a plus-but not essential.
- A valuable first step into careers in Educational Psychology, Youth Justice, Mental Health, or Social Work.
- Receive in-depth training and gain practical, hands-on experience.
