You will be responsible for:
  • Developing and leading the strategy for AI and data solutions within the Energy & Chemicals sector. This includes identifying market opportunities across the value chain (upstream, midstream, downstream), developing new service offerings, and building strong relationships with clients.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of data scientists, engineers, and consultants. You will be responsible for their professional development and performance management.
  • Managing complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget by managing client expectations, mitigating risks, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs, providing thought leadership, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Staying abreast of the latest trends and technologies in AI and data science. This includes attending industry events, conducting research, and participating in professional development activities.
  • Contributing to the development of Deloitte's thought leadership in AI and data for the Energy and Chemicals sector. This includes publishing articles, presenting at conferences, and participating in industry events.
Connect to your skills and professional experienceThe successful candidate will possess:
  • A strong academic background in a relevant field (e.g., chemical engineering, petroleum engineering, computer science, data science or equivalent).
  • Considerable experience in the energy and/or chemicals or equivalent industry, with a proven track record of delivering successful AI and data-driven projects.
  • Deep understanding of the energy and chemicals sector, including its key challenges and opportunities across the value chain.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams of data scientists, engineers, and consultants, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in developing and implementing AI and data strategies.
  • Experience with various data technologies and platforms (e.g., cloud computing, big data analytics, machine learning).
  • A strong understanding of data privacy and security regulations.
  • A passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
