We are looking to recruit two friendly, professional Nursing Assistants to work as part of a Roving Nursing Assistant Team under the supervision of a qualified nurse and assist in the delivery of NHS Health checks for patients registered at Northumbria Primary Care Practices.The successful candidates will work organisation wide. Travel will be expected across all NPC sites;NPC Northumbria Way, NPC Cramlington, NPC Elsdon Avenue, NPC Morpeth, NPC Lynemouth, NPC Lintonville, NPC Ponteland, NPC Haydon Bridge and Allendale, NPC Amble and Broomhill, NPC Widdrington, NPC Rothbury, NPC North Tyneside (Whitley Bay and North Shields practices).The appointees will have a base site at Northumbria Way in which mileage can be claimed over and above travel from home to base site. The successful candidate will be providing a high level of patient care to patients of NPC practices.Please note we reserve the right to close this vacancy prior to theclosing date once the required number of suitable applications have been received.Main duties of the job
  • To assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high quality direct and indirect patient care
  • To assist in the delivery of NHS Health Checks across the group

  • NVQ Level III in Health/Health & Social Care/Direct Care or a portfolio of equivalent experience.
Experience and knowledgeEssential
  • Caring experience
  • Previous care experience preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Courses and experience that demonstrate transferable skills i.e. respiratory essentials, basic stoma care, palliative care course for HCA's
  • Experience of providing direct and indirect patient care
