Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with various medical, emotional, and mental health challenges
  • Assist in delivering therapeutic interventions, in partnership with healthcare professionals and teaching staff
  • Offer both medical and emotional support to students during school hours, ensuring their well-being
  • Manage daily care needs, including administering prescribed medication (following appropriate guidelines)
  • Work closely with teachers to develop and implement personalised learning plans
  • Support students in managing their health, emotional well-being, and coping strategies for various challenges
About You
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or educational support role, ideally within a clinical or SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) setting
  • Knowledge of medical conditions and mental health challenges, and how they impact learning
  • A caring, empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teachers, healthcare providers, and families
  • A genuine passion for working as a Clinical Teaching Assistant
  • Ability to commute to Huntingdon
