As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored learning support, adapt resources to meet individual needs, and help create a positive and engaging classroom environment. Your role will be crucial in fostering pupils’ confidence and promoting their development across the curriculum.Responsibilities as a KS1/KS2 Teaching Assistant:
- Support children in KS1 and KS2 with their learning, individually and in small groups.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Encourage positive behaviour and model high expectations.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other support colleagues to enhance learning outcomes.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Experience working with children in a school setting, ideally within KS1 and/or KS2.
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, nurturing, and positive attitude towards supporting children’s education.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one .
- A full, 10-year career history (CV) with any gaps explained.
