In this role of 1:1 TA (KS1/KS2), you will work closely with one pupil, providing tailored assistance to meet their learning, behavioural, and social-emotional needs.Responsibilities as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with additional needs in KS1 or KS2.
  • Assist in delivering individualised learning plans in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
  • Adapt learning resources and activities to suit the pupil’s individual needs.
  • Maintain clear communication with staff, parents, and external professionals to support the pupil’s progress.
Requirements for 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
  • Previous experience supporting pupils in KS1 or KS2, ideally in a 1:1 setting.
  • Patience, resilience, and a caring approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history where possible, with all gaps explained.
