- You will have primary responsibility for the operational development and delivery of high-quality services ensuring that services are delivered in compliance with relevant legislation, local and national policy, and guidance, achieving the best possible outcomes for children in the district.
- You will provide effective leadership to enable strong partnership working, instilling a clear sense of purpose, priority, and direction.
- You will work alongside schools and education providers in promoting school attendance and inclusive approaches that help children's academic achievement and successful transition to adulthood.
- You will contribute to partnership approaches that prevent children from adverse outcomes such as crime, exploitation or anti-social behaviour.
- You will further develop a positive culture informed by robust performance and assurance systems that demonstrate the quality and impact of the service.
- To hold a degree or equivalent relevant professional qualification OR the ability to demonstrate the requisite skills, knowledge and competencies through substantial experience.
- Level 3 Leadership and Management qualification or substantial management experience.
- Evidence of continued professional development, particularly in leading individuals and teams and transforming service delivery.
- Substantial experience of managing practitioners who work directly with children and families, including the most vulnerable.
- Experience of performance management, using data as an indicator to the provision of high-quality services and driving up standards.
