PROJECT MANAGER - Structures and PavementsAre you interested in Structures & Pavements? We have a great opportunity for a dedicated office based Project Manager to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.We are looking for a proactive, reliable and flexible Project Manager to join our Structures & Pavements Team. As a member of Structures & Pavements, you will be exposed to a range of unique projects across the country. It is key that you have the balance to be driven and independent, as well as being a strong team player. A background in project management and knowledge of the industry are essential in order to thrive in this role.The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
  • Managing projects from quotation stage through to completion of report
  • Quoting site works in line with SOCOTEC UK procedures
  • Manage site work programme with other office based Project Managers
  • Oversee procurement of sub-contract services
  • Compilation of Risk Assessment and Method Statements to SOCOTEC UK standards
  • Review commercial documents relating to projects
  • Ensure SOCOTEC UK projects are completed in line with UKAS Accreditations and in-house procedures
  • Arranging equipment / materials for smooth running of team
  • Contribute in assistance of training for new and current site team members
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Minimum 3 years experience within the material testing industry or a project management role
  • Ability to motivate self and team members to achieve goal
  • Commercial and contract awareness
  • Reliable and diligent with a flexible approach to work
  • Willing to learn
  • Results focus individual. Prepared to work additional hours and be able to work under pressure at times when required to meet client deadlines.
  • Customer/ client focused
  • Respects client confidentiality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Full driving licence
