Job Description:Reports To: Finance Manager
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Location: London or Manchester (Hybrid working - min. 2 days in office)
Hours: Part-time (0.7 FTE FBB / 0.3 FTE YBB)
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 depending on experience (LLW for those in London)

This is your opportunity to:
  • Gain hands-on experience with charity finance systems like Xero and Pleo
  • Develop professionally through fully-funded apprenticeship studies
  • Become the operational backbone enabling our frontline teams

What You'll DoFinancial Operations Excellence
  • Process invoices, expenses, and payments with precision
  • Support bank reconciliations and Pleo card management
  • Assist with payroll processing and financial record-keeping
Reporting and Compliance
  • Help prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Maintain accurate records and support audit processes
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities
Team Enablement
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance Team and wider team
  • Collaborate across departments to streamline processes
  • Become a trusted partner to programme delivery teams
Who We're Looking ForYou are detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about using finance for social good. You take pride in accuracy, enjoy solving operational puzzles, and want to grow professionally while contributing to our mission.Essential:
  • Strong numeracy and exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Studying (or willing to study) AAT/ACCA/CIMA apprenticeship - Level 2 qualification moving into the Level 3
Desirable:
  • Experience with Xero or similar accounting software
  • Knowledge of Pleo/expense management systems
