
Senior Finance Assistant – Internal Finance Team

- Prepare monthly journals and assist with the month-end reporting process
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations
- Manage day-to-day banking tasks: posting transactions, reconciling the cashbook, distributing daily banking reports
- Produce and distribute monthly WIP and Aged Debt reports to partners and managers
- Update departmental and internal committee spend reports
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements and ensure receipt collection
- Generate and issue quarterly payroll bills using CCH
- Review staff expenses via Webexpenses, ensuring compliance with policy, and upload for weekly payment run
- Oversee the purchase ledger function, resolving supplier queries and ensuring timely payments
- Support the administration of the tax enquiry protection scheme
- Provide ad-hoc support to the client account function and assist with process improvements
- Finance-based qualification (e.g. AAT fully qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA)
- Previous experience in a mid-level internal finance role
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts and month-end processes
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and numerical accuracy
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP, SUMIF)
- Experience with finance systems such as Twinfield, Webexpenses, and CCH is beneficial
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Flexible team player with the ability to manage workload independently and respond to ad-hoc tasks as needed
