Children’s Home Manager

• Provide strong, inspirational leadership to the care team, ensuring high standards of care and support.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and develop staff to create a competent, motivated team.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, supervision meetings, and staff appraisals to identify training needs and career development opportunities.
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that all staff remain updated on best practices and legislative changes.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels, including managing rotas, shift patterns, and emergency cover where necessary.
• Support staff wellbeing, providing guidance and emotional support to maintain a positive working environment.
• Ensure full compliance with OFSTED regulations, Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and safeguarding legislation.
• Implement and maintain policies and procedures in line with best practices and legal requirements.
• Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring child protection concerns are handled promptly, efficiently, and in accordance with statutory requirements.

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Social Care Management) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Registered Manager within an OFSTED-regulated children's home.
• Strong knowledge of OFSTED standards, safeguarding laws, and residential care regulations.
• Proven track record of working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Driving licence (preferred but not essential).
