A Health and Safety Advisor (Fire) is required to support the Health and Safety Manager, Team Leader and Senior Health and Safety Advisers in ensuring high standards of fire safety for all employees and in all areas where the Council has an interest. The vacancy is temporary until 31st March 2026.WHAT IS INVOLVED?You will assist in the formulation of appropriate policies and practices with particular emphasis on providing advice and direction in fire safety management.As a Fire Health and Safety Advisor you will undertake fire safety audits or inspections of operations or activities where the Council has an interest. You will also contribute to written reports of any recommendations of improvements or changes to working practices.We encourage you to contact Andrew Scarr email at to arrange an informal discussion about the role.WHAT WILL I NEED?You will need the following:-
  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate (or equivalent).
  • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Educated to Level 4 or equivalent in a related vocational or professional field.
