Job Description:Robert Half Finance & Accounting are currently partnering with our client in their recruitment of a Finance Business Partner on a permanent contract. We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional to drive performance insights and strategic decision-making across the business. This role sits at the heart of the finance function, so you'll be partnering closely with senior stakeholders to deliver high-impact analysis, reporting, and forecasting. If you're passionate about turning numbers into meaningful action, this is your opportunity to make a real difference.This role is a 50/50 split between BAU (month end processes) and then forward looking partnering and project accounting, so a great position if you're a Management Accountant looking to move into a more commercial role. The salary on offer is up to £50,000 + benefits. Hybrid working is supported.Responsibilities:
  • Monthly Management Accounts: Lead the preparation of monthly accounts, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, and journal entries. Investigate and explain variances to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Performance Analysis: Deliver insightful variance analysis against budget and forecast. Collaborate with operational teams to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
  • Reporting Excellence: Develop and present high-quality reports and dashboards for the Senior Finance Business Partner and leadership teams.
  • Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to key business functions, presenting financial insights at monthly management meetings and supporting strategic initiatives.
  • Financial Controls: Own journal logs and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring robust financial governance and compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Champion continuous improvement across reporting and forecasting processes.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the development of detailed, driver-based annual budgets and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with functional leads.
  • Scenario Modelling: Provide financial modelling and scenario analysis to support commercial decision-making.
About You:
  • ACCA/CIMA qualified (or finalist)
  • Strong on Excel
  • Prior management accounts pre experience
  • Prior partnering experience
  • Be a self starter, with a commercial mindset and intrigue to investigate data
