To work alongside the Head of Nursing, General Manager, and the Clinical Leads to ensure that services are managed effectively and support the delivery of service agreements to qualitative and quantitative performance targets and within the Trust's financial allocations.To lead the Division's annual planning process to ensure there are clear goals and objectives and a jointly owned performance measures against which progress throughout the year a can be monitored. Ensuring positive clinical engagement in strategically developing services.To support the Director of Operations, and the senior leadership team in leading the Division in strategic planning, development and redesign of services.Main duties of the jobTo achieve all local and national performance targets as decreed in theOperating framework.Within the Clinical groups, to lead on the development of partnershipswith external agencies and other NHS organisations to support thedelivery of BWC services within the local healthcare environment.To support the Director Operations and Associate Director of Nursing inensuring the Division meets all its specific responsibilities in relation toCare Quality Commission core standards, through the establishment andmaintenance of effective governance systems and processes.To provide senior strategic leadership to the project management ofdivisional initiativesTo maintain an income and expenditure balance for the ManagementGroup through delivering the agreed savings programme as part of thefinancial plan.To ensure that a robust workforce plan is in place to support the deliveryof the plan, ensuring staff feel engaged and valued.To lead and manage complex projects including servicedevelopment/capital developments, as required, improving capacity,service efficiency, quality and capability and including large scaleorganisational change.About usBirmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is the first of its type in the UK.
