Are you an experienced Oracle DBA ?Do you have skills with Oracle 19c & 23ai ?Would you like to get involved with their journey to the cloud (OCI or Azure) ?Have you worked with Exadata and RAC (beneficial) ?If so I have a really interesting 6 month daily rate contract role (Inside IR35)Its 3 days a week in the Edinburgh Office so you must live within commuting distance.You must also have the right to work in UK without sponsorship.You will be part of the Oracle DBA team providing both support and ensuring production systems are highly available and managed.Responsibilities include:
  • Working with other team members and stakeholders to support day-to-day administration requirements.
  • Instrumental with our journey to the Cloud. (OCI, Azure). Assist with research, test & deployment activities.
  • To maintain security compliance, the individual will be instrumental in patching activities.
  • Work with team members and business stakeholders on new project on-boarding.
  • Participate in an on-call rota and out of hours work as required.
Your skills should include:
  • 5 years+ experience as an Oracle DBA with Oracle 19c and 23ai.
  • Experience of building & supporting
Dataguard, RMAN, OEM, and MAA architectures. * SQL and PL/SQL experience.
  • Strong patching experience.
  • Linux (OEL, Redhat) Administration & shell scripting.
Desirable skills:
  • Experience of Exadata, RAC, ZFS.
  • Experience of Delphix would be useful.
  • Knowledge and experience of using/developing with Oracle Application Express.
  • Git and Azure DevOps release pipelines.
  • Database DevOps tooling.
  • Experience of Oracle in the Cloud. (OCI, Azure etc)
