
Specialist Clinical Pharmacist

- Four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest
- Five community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire
- Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
- 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
- Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services
- Masters degree in pharmacy (4 years) or equivalent experience or qualifications
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Professional knowledge of medicines managements systems and process in an integrated NHS
- Experience of teaching & supervision of pharmacists, technicians, assistants and students
- Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience or qualifications
- Knowledge of specialist area as described in job advert
- Accredited Pre-registration Tutor
- Accredited Diploma Pharmacy Tutor
- Independent Prescriber
- Flexibility to undertake emergency duty including weekends, Bank Holiday and evening opening
- Have a flexible approach to work
- Travel between sites and outside organization
- Understands and shows commitment to continuing professional development
- Highly developed knowledge and experience of health care
- Demonstrate achievement in at least one area of medicines management
- Demonstrate achievement in more than one area of specialist medicines management
- Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
