Experienced healthcare trainer required for care provider based in Southend on sea, EssexWe are looking to recruit a Health & Social Care Trainer in the Southend on Sea, Essex area for a health and social care provider (residential services) to lead training amongst internal staff and external customers at this exciting time for their values driven company.Working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Salary £32,000 per annumJob DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced enthusiastic social care trainer to join this organisation's friendly team. You will play a vital role in ensuring that your colleagues are equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to excel in their roles and to deliver outstanding care and support.The organisation provides a range of care and support services, and your role will be to ensure that your colleagues are equipped to meet the challenges and opportunities of providing exceptional care and support, which will have a lasting impact on the lives of those they support and empower your colleagues.This is an exciting time to join the company as you will play a key role in the development and delivery of their vision to deliver high quality engaging training to internal and external customers.Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality impactful training, and engaging training materials on a range of Social care topics including safeguarding, dementia awareness, mental health awareness, understanding alcohol & substance abuse
  • Create bespoke, engaging and detailed course content where required ensuring each course syllabus is in line with current legislation, industry best practice guidance and company values.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of face to face and e-learning training programmes to continuously improve their training and development offering
  • Maintain accurate records of training delivery
  • Facilitate induction programmes and support with assessment of care certificates
  • Foster a positive and support learning environment for all staff to support retention and staff engagement
  • Utilise external funding streams to enhance training programme
Ideal Candidate:
  • A recognised professional qualification in delivering training to the adult workforce such as Level 3 AET, PTTLS, CTLLS
  • Demonstrable experience as a trainer within a social care setting
  • A genuine passion for supporting learners and understanding the important of delivering social care training programmes that meets CQC requirements & expectations, and embeds our values
  • Personable, highly organised individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude
