The RoleAn opportunity has arisen for Health Care Assistant within Ward 7 at University Hospital Monklands.As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out routine personal care/assist with routine examination duties for patients, in support of (and supervised by), a registered nurse/clinician. The post holder will ensure a person centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy.The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward/department environment.NHS LanarkshireHave you always wanted to work with NHS Lanarkshire?   • Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment
  • Required to undertake on the job training and induction
  • Undertake mandatory HCSW standards
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology
  • Must be able to travel to other locations as required, as NHSL rotational contract
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts

  • SVQ11 in Health Care or working towards or equivalent experience working within a care environment/ role
