Description:Practice Manager VacancyKittoch Medical Practice3rd Floor Hunter Health CentreAndrew StreetEast Kilbride, G74 1ADKittoch Medical Practice is looking for a forward-thinking, proactive and highly organised Practice Manager to join our team.We are a long-established urban practice serving approximately 7800 patients. We are located within the modern and well-equipped Hunter Health Centre where there are an array of other local services including Phlebotomy, Treatment Room and District Nursing services.We are a 7 Partner Practice and also benefit from a Practice Nurse/ANP as well being involved in post-graduate medical training (FY2 doctor rotating 4 monthly). We are supported by an excellent reception and administrative team, as well as health-board employed pharmacists (and pharmacy hub), community link worker, primary care mental health nurse and occupational therapist. Our dedicated team works hard together to provide the highest standards of patient-centred care.Our new Practice Manager will work alongside the 7 Partners to provide leadership and management in delivering safe and effective patient care. They will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the practice, as well as ensuring good communication between all members of the multi-disciplinary team. We are in search of a candidate who can demonstrate strong leadership and a good team spirit amongst staff. We envisage our newly appointed candidate to be integral to our team and to not be afraid of driving change to ensure the Practice's thriving and sustainability over the coming years.The role would suit a current Practice Manager looking for their next challenge, or potentially an existing Assistant Manager looking to progress to the next stage of their professional career. Experience in primary care; whist not entirely necessary; would be desirable.Skills and experience required:
  • Experience in running a busy department, small business or practice
  • Relevant management qualification (e.g. Diploma in Primary Care Management) or willingness to work towards one
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as good listening skills
  • Experience and firm knowledge of HR processes is essential
  • Experience with IT, technology, finance/ accounts, planning and organising
  • Respect for confidentiality
  • Conscientious, hardworking, reliable and trustworthy nature
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain positive
  • A passion for motivating a team through periods of change and uncertainty
SalarySalary scale £42,000 - £53,000 dependant on experience.
