
Histopathology Training Lead / Advanced Biomedical Scientist

- HCPC Registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- Biomedical Science Degree or equivalent
- Appropriate Post Graduate qualifications e.g. IBMS Higher Specialist diploma or IBMS Diploma in Biomedical Science, Masters or equivalent or working towards
- Evidence of CPD
- Holding or working towards a qualification that supports management responsibilities such as health and safety, training officer, or quality management associated with post.
- IBMS Dissection qualification.
- European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent
- Experience across a range of work procedures and practices underpinned by theory and practice relevant to post
- Previous relevant experience of working in a Histopathology Laboratory to band 6 level - Significant post registration experience in an UKAS accredited and IBMS approved training laboratory
- Experience of training staff
- Experience of involvement with UKAS assessments.
- Experience of Pathology IT systems
- Practical experience of Quality Management Systems
- Has experience of writing SOP's and policies.
- Previous experience in staff leadership / mentoring.
- Highly specialist Histopathology knowledge and experience across a range of work procedures and practices underpinned by theory and practice relevant to post
- Has a good understanding of UKAS standards.
- Biomedical scientist dissection.
- HCPC Registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
