We’re looking for a proactive Engineering Manager to take ownership of technical delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects in the South of the UK. This is a pivotal role for a natural leader who thrives on team development, technical challenge, and driving project excellence.What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading and developing a team of skilled engineers across multiple bids and live projects.
- Ensuring the right engineering resource is in place and aligned with project needs and strategic growth.
- Acting as the engineering point of contact across the organisation and for clients.
- Supporting business planning and playing an active role in senior leadership discussions.
- Driving a culture of quality, safety, and innovation across the engineering lifecycle.
- Manage engineering resource allocation and succession planning.
- Liaise with project and bid managers to overcome technical challenges and provide expert solutions.
- Maintain and evolve engineering standards, systems, and documentation.
- Contribute to commercial discussions and support technical aspects of contract delivery.
- Promote the company’s engineering capabilities through external events, exhibitions, and professional networks.
- A degree or HND in an engineering discipline (Chartered status or working towards is a bonus).
- 10+ years’ experience in project delivery, ideally within decommissioning, waste management, or environmental remediation.
- Proven leadership experience and ability to manage cross-functional technical teams.
- Familiarity with QSHEW and ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
