Assistant Credit Controller

- Manage and oversee the credit control processes to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for all client accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to resolve payment issues effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate invoicing and account reconciliation.
- Monitor and report on aged debt and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Assist in implementing improvements to credit control procedures and systems.
- Respond promptly to client queries relating to invoices and payments.
- Support the accounting & finance department with ad-hoc financial tasks as needed.
- Previous experience in credit control or a related financial role within professional services.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple accounts effectively.
