Role OverviewLSEG is seeking an experienced and visionary Observability Product Owner to lead the definition, delivery, and evolution of our enterprise observability strategy. This role will be instrumental in ensuring that our observability platforms and practices deliver measurable value to engineering teams and the business. You will work closely with platform, product, and operations teams to drive adoption, standardisation, and continuous improvement of telemetry capabilities across LSEG’s technology estate.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and own the observability product roadmap, aligning with platform and business objectives.Translate strategic goals into actionable initiatives, features, and capabilities across telemetry, monitoring, alerting, and analytics.Collaborate with engineering teams to understand observability needs and ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and scalable.Prioritise and manage the observability backlog, balancing technical debt, innovation, and user feedback.Drive adoption of observability tools and practices across the organisation through enablement, training, and advocacy.Measure and communicate the value of observability initiatives through KPIs such as MTTR, SLO compliance, and platform usage.Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to evaluate and integrate observability technologies.Champion a culture of data-driven engineering and proactive service ownership.Required Skills and ExperienceProven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a platform, DevOps, or SRE environment.Strong understanding of observability principles (metrics, logs, traces, events) and related tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Elastic, Datadog).Experience working with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and Kubernetes.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical audiences.Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and product lifecycle management.Demonstrated ability to define and track product KPIs and drive continuous improvement.Desirable QualificationsExperience in financial services or regulated environments.Background in software engineering, SRE, or platform operations.Certification in product management or Agile methodologies (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM).Why Join Us?Shape the future of observability at one of the world’s leading financial infrastructure providers.Work at the heart of LSEG’s digital transformation, enabling resilient and data-driven services.Collaborate with high-performing teams across engineering, operations, and business domains.Enjoy a flexible, hybrid working model and a culture that values innovation, ownership, and continuous learning.Join us and be part of a team that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
