As the Lead Product Owner for this Lab, you’ll report to the Director of Embedded Finance and will work closely with other LBG Product Labs (e.g. Cards, Everyday Banking, Payments), functional teams, and of course, with our technology teams to build and deliver exciting new propositions in partnership with third parties and internal Business Units.In LBG, the Lab Product Owner is the overall owner for a single, large and complex product backlog which may contain many features, journeys or technology components. This role aims to provide value to customers and stakeholders by ensuring the teams focus on addressing the right issues. This involves fostering collaborative and empowered teams that take ownership of outcomes, encouraging innovation, and minimizing risk through data-driven testing and learning.You would be responsible for:The championing of customer agenda through the embedding Consumer Duty, directing the team’s ways of working and integrating the customer lens into everything that we do.Developing strategic solutions by anticipating complex issues, seeking out opportunities to leverage capabilities and maximise re-use.Acting as the organisational authority and established expert understanding and championing the customer, whilst balancing business and technology outcomes.Creating and delivering against the product roadmap and Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) for the Lab, which align to our Group strategy.Managing external vendor / supplier relationships navigating commercial agreements and service levels.Successfully creating a proactive and autonomous culture for successful implementation and outwardly promoting achievements in order to attract, retain and develop talent within the lab.Measuring success and ensuring the team understand the value that we are creating for our customers and business.The delivery of income and commercial plans.Operating within a sound risk framework, maximising safe delegation of authority to teams in line with LBG Group standards.About youStrategic thinking with a passion for creating outstanding customer experiences.A commitment to driving customer and data driven solutions, ensuring they address customer needs and drive value.Awareness of the latest technology and digital solutions to meet our customer’s needs.An intellectually curious outlook, where you seek to innovate and adapt quickly from setbacks.Experience in building and leading inclusive collaborative team cultures and a desire to actively drive your own as well as the team’s development and talent pipeline.Extremely strong relationship building and influencing skills – being adept in navigating matrix organizations and managing external commercial stakeholders with the complexities of competing priorities.Experience in applying agile and scrum methodologies and an awareness of the tools e.g. Jira & Confluence.Leading large, strategic transformations to deliver impact and unlock value.A Proven track record of cost control, delivering within budget and using resources effectively.Strong business and commercial acumen.
