- Establish relationships with all stakeholders in conjunction with the construction logistics team.
- Help to determine the construction logistics project schedule.
- Act as the clients SME on construction logistics planning across the construction programme.
- Ensure that planning constraints are understood and factored in all planning.
- Deliver milestones/objectives set by the head of construction logistics.
- Assimilate and validate the resourcing and cost estimates in relation to all construction logistics plans.
- Produce project reports or data as required to meet the needs and deadlines of the construction logistics team, the construction programmes and other stakeholders as required.
- Ensure a safe and collaborative working environment where people thrive.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team in a matrixed organisation to meet client outcomes.
- Assist in the development of detailed project budget and forecast cash flows/milestones from approved budget.
- Assist in determining construction logistics assumptions, risks and the development of project risk management, if required helping to facilitate the risk review process and manage, monitor, and mitigate risks.
- Prepare monthly reports, ensure reporting mechanisms are linked to on time on budget delivery and ensure implementation of project management methodology.
- Produce employers/works requirements to help inform the procurement and award of contracts, ensuring alignment with construction logistics strategy and operational plan.
- Drive the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing within the construction logistics team and within the planning process.
- Develop contingency plans to counter risks to operational delivery to help ensure continuous effective logistics support.
- Seek to identify opportunities to meet wider client objectives within the strategy and operational plan.
- Construction Logistics Plan (CLP) practitioner level qualification.
- Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- Can demonstrate experience of project managing logistics through the project lifecycle from concept to handover.
- Client facing, stakeholder management and problem-solving experience.
- Experience in construction logistics.
- Experience of understanding, developing, and gaining approval for plans.
- Experience of successfully engaging groups of stakeholders up to a senior level.
- Able to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, stakeholder engagement, data management and change management.
- Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
- Proficient in the utilisation of outputs from forecasting, modelling, estimating and risk tools.
- Experience of managing consultants, and other advisors in large and complex construction projects.
- Experience of operating in a highly regulated working environment.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Knowledge and/or practitioner of project management with experience of applying either; APM body of knowledge and Prince2.
