- Assist in the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex contracts, including joint venture agreements, supply contracts, and construction agreements.
- Support the Contract Manager in ensuring that contract terms align with project goals, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and track contract performance to ensure key deliverables are met.
- Assist in resolving disputes while fostering positive, long-term relationships with Whole Plant Partners and suppliers.
- Support post-contract commercial processes, including early warnings, cost forecasting, payments, and change management.
- Monitor contract risks and mitigation strategies, ensuring contract compliance at all times.
- Prepare regular contract reports highlighting risks, issues, and performance insights.
- Support contract amendments, renewals, and extensions, ensuring proper approvals and documentation.
- Promote a collaborative and respectful work environment, valuing teamwork and diversity.
- Act as a cultural ambassador, representing UKIFS's values in all contract interactions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of contract-related presentations and reports.
- Assist in contract-related meetings, ensuring key discussions are recorded, and issues are addressed efficiently.
- Partially or fully qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) - or a willingness to work towards qualification.
- Proven experience in contract administration or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess contract risks and performance.
- Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accurate contract execution.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced
- Experience working in both public and private sector environments.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and governance frameworks.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
