Are you an experienced occupational therapist (OT) looking for a career development opportunity?KCHFT is looking for someone with excellent knowledge of Paediatric community OT and an understanding of Kent-wide support systems to take on this secondment role within Kent Children's Therapies.It is important to us that all our staff are aligned to our Values and in particular the behaviours we expect from KCHFT managers.With this in mind as part of the selection process for this position you will be asked to complete two other activities in addition to the competency-based interview that you will invited to. This extended selection process is designed to assess your management style and the specific details of the exercises will be given if you are successfully shortlisted.The provisional date of the selection event is 17 September 2025, although this may be subject to change.Main duties of the jobYou'll need an excellent understanding of evidence-based practice in the relevant areas, as well as knowledge ofnational guidelines and an ability to apply this knowledge to workforce planning and development, identifying the trainingand professional development needs of the OT teams and the skills and competencies needed to deliver the service tochildren, young people and their families.You will work as part of the Kent Children's Therapies leadership team to develop and shape the occupational therapy service offer, at a time when the service is expanding and developing. Educated to, or actively working towards, Master's level in relevant field, or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
HCPC registered / evidence of post qualifying continuing professional development

Significant experience within the NHS, Local Authority or other statutory sector organisation
Experience of managing high level projects. Ability to apply performance management skill to assess progress within service delivery
