An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support Administrator- Sharepoint and Intranet to join the Communication and Collaboration Services team in IT Services on a fixed-term basis until September 2027.About the Role
  • The SharePoint & Intranet technical support administrator will play a pivotal role in supporting the university's new intranet platform, OxIntranet, built on Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online. This role provides day-to-day technical support for the OxIntranet team and end users, ensuring a smooth and reliable experience across the platform while maintaining the underlying infrastructure within the university's SharePoint Online environment.
  • Working within IT Services, the role a deliver a unified support experience across both OxIntranet and the broader SharePoint Online service, troubleshoot issues, guiding users through technical processes and contributing to the continuous improvement of platform functionality and user engagement.
  • In addition to technical support, the role partners with the OxIntranet Content team to facilitate onboarding, content integration, and operational consistency. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a collaborative mindset, helping to shape a dependable intranet environment that supports communication, collaboration, and digital transformation across the university.
About YouWe are looking for someone who:
  • Has practical experience working and supporting SharePoint Online.
  • Can quickly identify and resolve issues within SharePoint Online, using a structured approach to diagnose site errors, permission conflicts, or configuration problems.
  • Has experience supporting intranet platforms ensuring they run smoothly and follow governance rules.
  • Enjoys helping users, answering questions, and guiding them through digital tools.
  • Can juggle multiple tasks and work well with others in a flexible team environment.
  • Understands how digital platforms work and what's needed to support them.
  • Writes clear, useful documentation that others can rely on.
