With more than 13,000 domain experts serving over 2,000 insurance customers in 100+ countries, DXC is trusted to deliver and modernise the mission-critical systems that underpin the insurance industry.We are seeking an Application Lead with deep Life/400 DIARY expertise to join our Insurance Software team and play a pivotal role in a strategic programme — the consolidation and migration from BLISS to Life/400.The Application Lead will be responsible for leading technical discovery, providing subject matter expertise, and ensuring successful stakeholder engagement with Irish Life & Pensions customers. Onshore presence is essential to reinforce DXC’s commitment and to ensure strong collaboration during discovery.Essential Job Functions:Lead a small, high-performing team during the discovery phase of BLISS → Life/400 consolidation.Provide deep expertise in Life/400 DIARY to design, evaluate, and recommend migration approaches.Engage directly with client stakeholders (Irish Life & Pensions market) to capture requirements and align technical delivery with business outcomes.Collaborate with internal SMEs (Discovery BA, IPE Lead, Migration Lead) and coordinate offshore resources.Translate complex requirements into technical designs and delivery roadmaps for execution phases.Mentor and guide junior or backfill resources to ensure knowledge transfer and long-term capability.Represent DXC as a trusted advisor onsite, reinforcing confidence in delivery and strengthening client partnership.Contribute to wider strategic initiatives, such as Healthcheck, REST API implementation, and Conversion Accelerator, by rotating and upskilling resources.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience).Proven experience as an Application Lead, Technical Lead, or Senior Developer on Life/400 and Integral Life (Classic) applications.Strong knowledge of DIARY modules and their application within Life/400.Experience working directly with Irish insurance customers (Life & Pensions domain expertise essential).Demonstrated ability to lead projects, teams, and customer workshops in a delivery-focused environment.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Other Qualifications:Experience with migration tools such as Policy Data Loader (PDL) and Product Data Loader (PDG).Strong understanding of policy administration and migration programmes in Life & Pensions.Exposure to agile delivery methodologies.Relevant certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile/SAFe, TOGAF) a plus.What We Can Offer You:Competitive Compensation & Pension Scheme – Rewarding your expertise while securing your future.Comprehensive Benefits Package – Including DXC Select, Perks at Work, and incentive programs for exclusive savings and rewards.Continuous Learning & Development – Access to upskilling opportunities, career growth resources, and industry-leading training.Lifestyle Perks – Enjoy options like the Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme and more.At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
