
Associate Director, Salesforce Technical Architect - Life Sciences

- Lead workstreams on large-scale programmes, acting as a Technical Leader for other technical team members as part of a project or client engagement, including managing expectations, quality, task distribution and being accountable for all technical outputs on the engagement
- Lead workshops to understand and document client needs from a Salesforce and wider connecting enterprise architecture perspective, leveraging knowledge of new and upcoming features available in the ecosystem, as well as limitations, risks and considerations, to support business and technical decision making
- Lead the development and physical design of solutions, guide the development team, and oversee required activities to ensure the system's architectural integrity
- Translate and communicate technical requirements and solutions to the business using story-based narratives; clearly present strategies, options and recommendations to executive level stakeholders
- Independently lead pre-sales activities, shaping our end-to-end proposition and translating clients' high level business goals into innovative architectural solutions with an awareness of the commercials; documenting and presenting these solutions to both technical and non-technical internal and client audiences
- Advise clients on migration approaches from Veeva CRM to Salesforce Life Science Cloud and lead these technical implementations
- Mentor and coach more junior technical talent, as well as defining and driving the continuous improvement of industry-differentiating architectural standards, approaches, frameworks and tools
- Build a broad internal and external network, advocating for technology and engineering practices both within and outside the firm
- Significant technical experience as a Technical Lead and Architect, with experience of hands-on development of custom code solutions on Salesforce using Apex, Visualforce, Aura and LWC with an applied understanding of development standards and optimisation techniques.
- Significant industry experience implementing Salesforce solutions in Health Care and Life Sciences.
- Experience with Veeva CRM and familiarity with Veeva Vault
- Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud and familiarity with Life Sciences Cloud
- Deep architectural understanding and experience in:
- Integration approaches, patterns and standards used in the Salesforce landscape such as event-based, ETL, ESB, point-to-point, REST, SOAP and Canvas
- Security and privacy such as SSO, user provisioning and management, OAuth flows, encryption of data at REST
- Wider technology landscape within large scale, global organisations (this could be industry specific)
- Event driven architectures both on the Salesforce platform and in the wider tech landscape such as Kafka
- Relational database theories and design concepts, including performance, security and data migration considerations
- Analytics capabilities, MI and BI including enabling technologies on the Salesforce platform and other common applications within a large scale, global enterprise technology landscape.
- Experience in SDLC, DevOps and DevSecOps patterns and enterprise tools, as well as knowledge of what the widely recognised software engineering best practices are and how they can be applied in the context of a Salesforce solution (including CI/CD, Trunk based development and feature toggles)
- Experience working on projects executed using an Agile delivery framework including typical variations; knowledge of alternative project delivery methods
- Confident and articulate in your communication style, with excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills that you can flex accordingly to help others - whether that be technical, non-technical, colleagues or clients - understand and implement the solutions that you and your team design
- A brilliant listener, building rapport and developing trusted relationships with a diverse set of senior client technical stakeholders including technology leadership
