We are recruiting for a Garment technologist with 2-3 years’ experience to join a young exciting women’s brand. Working through the whole product lifecycle to make sure garments meet all specifications to a high standard. This role offers the opportunity to work in an exciting collaborative environment taking a pivotal role in the technical development of the productsOur client is a young premium womens brand. They are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player who can communicate effectively and work well under pressure to join their friendly team.Garment Technologist - The Role
Manage daily enquiries, product development tasks which includes sourcing of fabric and trims and approving sampling length, lab-dips etc.
Assist with sample / production checks to ensure product quality and compliance.
Assist with non-compliance reports and collaborate and negotiate with suppliers regarding any issues.
Work closely with design and production teams to ensure critical path is met.
Create and maintain tech packs, conduct fit sessions and evaluate garment protos.
Collaborate with offshore suppliers, communicating any issues regarding manufacture and quality.
Control consistency of quality of production batches.
Garment Technologist -The Person Spec
Proficiency in Microsoft office suite.
Good eye for detail
Proactive problem-solving ability.
Strong understanding of garment manufacture, construction, fabric processes and finishes.
2-3 years’ experience in technology or product development.
Excellent communication and organisational skills
