- Risk Strategy & Framework
- Develop and refine credit risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures for new and existing lending products
- Lead portfolio risk monitoring, segmentation, and stress testing to ensure appropriate risk-adjusted returns
- Product Expansion Support
- Partner with Product and Finance teams to design new lending offerings, embedding risk controls from inception
- Define underwriting standards, scorecard strategies, and eligibility criteria to support responsible growth
- Portfolio & Loss Management
- Oversee ongoing monitoring of credit performance, delinquency trends, and loss forecasting
- Establish early warning systems and recommend policy adjustments based on observed risk signals
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Foster strong partnerships with Product Management, Operations, Engineering, Data Science, Accounting, and Strategic Finance teams, driving alignment and facilitating data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with Data Science to enhance predictive risk models and data-driven decisioning
- Partner with Compliance and Legal to ensure lending practices meet regulatory standards
- Present portfolio performance and risk assessments to executive leadership
- Team Leadership
- Build and mentor a high-performing credit risk team, fostering expertise in underwriting, analytics, and portfolio management.
- 10+ years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in consumer or small business lending
- At least 5 years of experience in managing a team
- Strong understanding of credit risk analytics, underwriting, and portfolio management
- Experience supporting the launch and scaling of new lending products
- Proficiency with credit modeling, loss forecasting, and stress testing frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally and influence executive stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills with experience building and leading high-performing teams
