Full time, long term - full academic year (scope to be extended)Are you patient, caring, and eager to support a young learner with special educational needs?A welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2025.In this full-time, long-term role, you will provide personalised support to a child in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 who has a range of needs such as Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, or SEMH challenges. Your role will be key in helping them access learning, develop independence, and thrive in a nurturing environment.What You'll Do - 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant
- Deliver 1:1 tailored support aligned to the pupil's EHCP
- Help the child engage with class activities and curriculum
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Foster communication, social skills, and independence
- Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and external specialists
- Monitor progress and contribute to planning and assessment
- Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging space for learning
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting
- Knowledge of SEN including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, SEMH
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Ability to adapt resources and strategies for individual needs
- Strong commitment to working through the full academic year
- Relevant qualifications and/or strong academic background preferred
- Rated 'Good' by Ofsted, with a warm, inclusive culture
