SEN Learning Support Assistant - Primary - HackneyWe are searching for confident, caring, and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistants to join a supportive team within a large, inclusive mainstream Primary School in Hackney.This is the ideal opportunity for a future Primary Teacher, Educational Psychologist, SENCO, Therapist, or Social Worker who is eager to gain meaningful, hands-on experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).The Head Teacher is keen to recruit graduates with a strong academic background, a passion for inclusive education, and a genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional learning needs across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and learning delays. You will provide targeted academic and emotional support, either 1:1 or in small group settings, helping children to access learning and build confidence.Job Description - SEN Learning Support Assistant:
  • Full-time SEN Learning Support Assistant position
  • September start
  • Long-term role for the full academic year (with potential to extend)
  • Provide individualised SEN support across EYFS, KS1 & KS2
  • Work alongside the SENCO, class teachers, and inclusion team
  • £95 - £120 per day (dependent on working hours)
  • Strong academic background - degree, A Levels, GCSEs
  • Prior experience supporting children with SEN, or working in a school setting is highly desirable
  • Must be passionate about inclusive education and child development
  • Reliable, flexible and dedicated
