About this jobAs the ideal candidate you will be responsible for preparing and accurately weighing samples for analysis, carrying out routine testing in line with ISO 17025:2017 standards. You will operate and perform basic maintenance on laboratory instruments, ensuring all results are recorded accurately using laboratory IT systems. You'll also support Health & Safety compliance, maintain a clean and organised working environment, and manage your daily workload to meet turnaround targets. Additionally, you'll contribute to the ongoing improvement of lab practices and may assist with training and mentoring colleagues as needed.To be considered, candidates must have direct experience with at least one of the following techniques:
  • Combustion Ion Chromatography (CIC) - for chlorine and fluorine analysis
  • Carbon/Sulphur analysis using Leco or Eltra instrumentation
  • Mercury analysis via direct combustion
  • Analysis of copper, zinc, or lead concentrates in a commercial laboratory setting
