You're confident in liaising with clients, supervising surveyors, and ensuring compliance with health & safety and quality standards. You have the technical knowledge to oversee inspections and laboratory analysis, and the organisational skills to coordinate workloads and meet deadlines.Key Requirements
  • Experience in marine surveying, terminal/refinery operations, bulk liquids, or similar industry.
  • Supervisory experience or the ability to lead and mentor a small team.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and compliance (ISO standards advantageous).
  • IT skills, including moderate Excel and Word proficiency.
  • Physically fit and able to access vessels, tanks, and operational sites safely.
  • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
About the OpportunityAs Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring that inspections, surveys, and laboratory testing are delivered to the highest standards, in line with client requirements and Intertek procedures. This role involves close collaboration with the Operations/Branch Manager and interaction with clients on a regular basis, providing technical support and ensuring operational excellence.Key Activities
  • Conduct and/or supervise inspections and surveys, both onshore and offshor,e as required.
  • Oversee laboratory analysis, ensuring reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with standards.
  • Maintain equipment calibration, conduct job safety analyses, and uphold HSE standards.
  • Liaise with clients, respond to queries, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate team workloads to deliver efficient operations.
  • Train and mentor surveyors, supporting their development.
  • Ensure field data and laboratory results are accurately recorded and translated into reports.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and report issues through the quality system.
  • Support the Operations/Branch Manager with technical and operational duties as required.
