This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with their learning journey and helping them achieve success in the classroom.About the role:As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for KS2, you will provide focused, individualised support to pupils, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively. You will help build confidence, encourage independence, and provide guidance tailored to the student’s needs. This role requires patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to making a difference in the child’s academic and personal growth.Responsibilities of 1:1 Teaching Assistant for KS2:
  • Deliver 1:1 support to a KS2 student within a classroom setting.
  • Assist the pupil with understanding lesson content and completing tasks.
  • Encourage engagement and motivation in learning activities.
  • Support the development of social skills and confidence.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the student at all times.
Requirements for 1:1 Teaching Assistant for KS2:
  • CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Previous experience supporting children, ideally within KS2.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, understanding, and the ability to adapt to the pupil’s needs.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children in their educational journey.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply).
