Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant – KS2
Location: Barnsley
Salary: Up to £120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate

This is a rewarding role for someone who wants to make a positive difference in a child’s development.About the Role:As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with KS2 pupils to provide individualised support tailored to their needs. You will assist with classwork, encourage participation, and help to create a positive learning environment where every child feels valued and confident.1:1 Teaching Assistant – KS2 Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils within KS2, ensuring they are fully engaged in learning activities.
  • Assist with classwork, behaviour management, and emotional well-being.
  • Support pupils in line with the school curriculum and teacher’s guidance.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to encourage pupil progress.
Requirements for 1:1 Teaching Assistant – KS2:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (desirable but not essential).
  • An understanding of the KS2 curriculum would be advantageous.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
