- Lead the implementation of the UK Commodities strategy, aligned with scorecard objectives, including expansion in energy, emissions, and natural gas markets.
- Develop a portfolio of directly covered clients in coordination with the UK Head of Commodities, targeting revenue growth through financing solutions and structured inventory products.
- Drive the digital agenda within Commodities and position Standard Chartered as a centre of excellence in the market through active brand representation.
- Act as a strategic partner to clients, offering insights and risk management solutions tailored to their commodity exposure.
- Deliver personal P&L targets, work collaboratively with relationship managers, and maintain detailed client account plans to identify and pursue wallet share opportunities.
- Partner with global and local FM teams, product specialists, and research to drive origination, execution, and cross-sell opportunities.
- Ensure all trades are executed in compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including Order Handling, Best Execution, and client documentation.
- Proactively manage trading limits, infrastructure setup, and client onboarding, ensuring seamless execution and best-in-class service.
- Take ownership of key client relationships globally, coordinating with RMs and regional product partners to build long-term franchise value.
- Lead by example, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior colleagues and actively share market insights and best practices to strengthen team capability and cohesion
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and non-financial risks related to commodity transactions, ensuring alignment with the Group's risk appetite and control framework.
- Interpret financial and market data to support sound decision-making and ensure effective transaction-level risk controls.
- Ensure adherence to the Group's governance standards and regulatory obligations, with proactive engagement in internal and external oversight processes.
- Represent Sales on the Commodities Best Execution Committee, contributing to transparency and governance in trade execution and client outcomes.
