- be part of an extended team working across Liaison & Diversion service
- work autonomously in prison, community and police detention cells, to identify and respond to requests of screening and assessment of people with identified health needs leaving the prison establishment within a 12-week period or less
- use validated tools to assess for a number of identified health needs and utilise information accordingly to inform decision-making and facilitate diversion within and out of the criminal justice pathway, creating a clear individualised care plan

- Qualified Registered Mental Nurse, Mental Health Social Worker or Occupational Therapist with current registration with the relevant professional body
- Knowledge and experience in the female health and social care pathway
- Substantial evidence of continuing professional development and post registration training.
- Experience of psychosocial interventions and awareness of substance misuse
- Excellent communication skills and ability to gain appropriate level of consent
- Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards
- Knowledge of evidence based practice, health promotion, NICE guidelines and pharmacology
